I have a little problem (probably easy to solve but my googling hasnt yielded any good results)

I have a site im working on .. the static HTML version is HERE

and I'm re-creating this layout using Joomla-CMS (HERE) im almost there but if you roll over the left menu you can see that the text is not vertically aligned in the middle of the highlight-rollerover as it is on the HTML version..

any help would be greatly appreciated..

Here is the CSS:

a.mainlevel-leftnav {
margin-left:0;
float: left;
width: 175px;
height: 25px;
text-decoration:none;
padding-left: 10px;
font: 11px/1.5em Verdana, Century Gothic, Helvetica, sans-serif, Arial;

}

a.mainlevel-leftnav:link, a.mainlevel-leftnav:visited {
border: 0;
float: left;
color: #333;
text-decoration:none;
padding-left: 10px;
font: 11px/1.5em Verdana, Century Gothic, Helvetica, sans-serif, Arial;

}

a.mainlevel-leftnav:hover {
display: block;
float: left;
width: 175px;
height: 25px;
color:#000;
background-color: #D7F1FA;
padding-left: 10px;
font: 11px/1.5em Verdana, Century Gothic, Helvetica, sans-serif, Arial;
text-decoration: none;

I haven't looked at your

I haven't looked at your code, but veetical_align:middle will do the trick.

Apply this the the anchor (a)

Make sure the li it is in (I assume you are using an unordered list) has both a height and the same value as its line-height.

Should work if you play with it.

its not a list its a table

its not a list its a table generated by the cms...

adding the vertical-align to the css i posted above didnt work

the css class for this menu "module" is:

table.moduletable-leftnavmod td{
background-color:#CC9966;
vertical-align: middle;

}

(the backgroundcolor is only in there to check if it was the right class that i was modifying)

but it still doesnt align the text in the vertical middle Sad

I will change the CMS to spit out the menu as an unordered list.. we'll see how we go with that..
