Well I thought I had this all figured out but it turns out I haven't fixed the hr right after the navigation div at the top of my page. There should be 1px of space then the HR then 1px of space. Please view in Firefox to see how its supposed to look. IE6 keeps creating more white space then what is needed and I can't seem to get around it. I would really appreciate some help with this one, its been plaguing me all week. Thanks.
Have you set the margin and
Have you set the margin and padding of the hr to 0?

IE is a pain with HRs. You probably need to set the font-size and the line-height too. In the end many uses(*) of HRs are better suited to using a border-bottom or a border-top on one of the adjacent elements and removing the HR altogether.
(*) - Mostly the only HRs that remain in my pages are ones that are added to improve the unstyled appearance of a page. The HR is then styled to either display:none or visibility:hidden to keep it off the styled version. YMMV.
TIP: In IE set hr to
In IE set hr to display:block for greater control
Thanks for your help. I
Thanks for your help. I ended up using a background that made it look like I had the border. Those other suggestions did seem to help me play with HR more but wasn't giving me the 1px tp and bottom margin like a wanted. Thanks again.
