hehehehehe, Hugo's gonna go

hehehehehe, Hugo's gonna go mad when he sees this, a CSS question about a CSS site Tongue

Have you got anything so far? I can whip you up a quick example when I get home if you'd like.

Also, why combine the Source logo with a 1.6 version of dust? Certainly an interesting choice Wink

Just in case you are

Just in case you are wondering, I mailed Matthew with some work I did on it. If he likes it, I will post it up here later, unless he uploads it to a url and posts a link himself.

Hugo Like always, I only do

Hugo

Like always, I only do something if it its with some design ideas I have of my own and uses a lot of what I have already done. I am not into making sites for anyone.

Anyway, I'm starting to put some galeries together, this one is here, but work in progress:

I'd like to just explain

I'd like to just explain something before you go any further Trev.

I was chatting on MSN last night about it, and this is the situation.

The site itself is a clan template, available for purchase, which the OP is going to do. However, he doesn't have the money yet.

What he decided to do was take the general look of the site and change it, so when he gets the money next week he has the "license" so to speak to use the site design.

What would be easier than recreating the whole site would be to wait until next week, when he can buy it, and THEN start changing.

It's a complete waste of time recreating the site, only to buy the template next week, is it not?

So it looks as though you'd

So it looks as though you'd better remove that design treva as it looks as though you're plagiarizing design and the "a design by ...." doesn't look to good either as it clearly isn't by this person. I'm afraid you appear to be having your time wasted somewhat by the OP who, no offence, probably doesn't know better.

Yeh, I got that. BUT, *I*

Yeh, I got that.

BUT, *I* liked the idea, so I was going to *steal* the layout idea, which I have no doubt is tables and stuff.

Then I was going to make my own graphics and play around with it. My intended use is NOT a clan site.

BUT, could I do it in CSS? I decided to have a go.

I'm doing this for me. Not the OP. It's a learning curve for me, as I'm not so hot at using photoshop for nice effects.

Last time I did a game site was AGES ago. Just google for clevatreva red alert 2.

I've lost the password for the server! Code is appalling, I know!

I was the first out with a complete walkthru and tips and strategy guide.

I'm into Delta Force right now. Just bought loads of bits to go faster still, yet to re-build the gaming pc though.

What do ya reckon? I even

What do ya reckon? I even worked out how to make the graphic bits.

I'm sure the code is bloated. I have deliberately made the box top/bottoms three images (left middle right) to allow width re-sizing without new graphics, hence the multiple use of three nested divs. Couldn't think of a better block element to use, or should I have used spans set to display:block, or another element type?
