HI there,

I am a relative beginner at all things web but am trying to build a portfolio for a friend. It is fitted into a content management system which has its own style sheet module to base the pages it creates on.
The site displays fine on a PC but the fonts are different on a MAC. Not having a MAC to try and solve this in a trial and error fashion I wondered if someone could spot some glaringly obvious reason why the MAC uses a default font instead of helveltica,arial,sans-serif as required.

site is at www.elkemeitzel.co.uk

MAC i looked at it on is running safari 1.2 and OSX style sheet looks as below.

BODY
{
font: 10px, helvetica, Arial;
color: #001B35;
scrollbar-3dlight-color:#FFFFFF;
scrollbar-arrow-color:#OOCCFF;
scrollbar-base-color:#FFFFFF;
scrollbar-darkshadow-color:#FFFFFF;
scrollbar-face-color:#FFFFFF;
scrollbar-highlight-color:#FFFFFF;
scrollbar-shadow-color:#FFFFFF;
}
TD
{
font: 10px, helvetica, Arial;
color: #001B35;
}
TR

font: 10px, helvetica, Arial;

}
INPUT{
FONT-SIZE: 10pt;
COLOR: #001B35;
FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif
}
TEXTAREA{
FONT-SIZE: 10pt;
COLOR: #001B35;
FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif
}
SELECT{
FONT-SIZE: 10pt;
COLOR: #001B35;
FONT-FAMILY: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif

.display

BORDER-TOP: #000000 1px solid;
BORDER-LEFT: #000000 1px solid;
BORDER-BOTTOM: #000000 1px solid;
}

p

.title

}
.title2

color: #676565;
}
.title3
{

color: #676565;
}
.tel
{
font: bold 16px, "MS Sans Serif", Arial, Verdana;

}

A.title2:hover{
font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 13px;

text-decoration: underline;
}

A.title2:link{

text-decoration: none;
}
A.title2:active{
font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 13px;
color: #676565;
text-decoration: none;
}

A.title2:visited{
font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 13px;
color: #676565;
text-decoration: none;
}

.next{
color: #676565;
}

Thanks in advance

Site check MAC

ashflash,

I looked at the site on a MAC running IE 5.1.4, a MAC running Safari 1.02 and on Windows XP running IE 6. They all looked the same (Congratulations !)

The only potential error I can see in your CSS is the lack of a closing semi-colon (Wink in some of your font-style definitions:
FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif

Hope this helps
