It appears that Opera doesn't understand "No repeat" in some instances...?
At a few places in my theme, Opera repeats bg images that is set to "No Repeat".

Is this something that is new? Have you heard about it before?
I didn't get the behaviour when I first started working on my Wordpress theme...
Suddenly it started and I cannot work out what's going on. It is happening in other places as well in the theme.

Check the bar under the header on http://www.vikingprincess.net/?p=13
Just above the text that says Wednesday 8 November. You couldn't miss it - but if you only see one decorative bar, the bug is not displaying...

The code is this: (nav_deco is a cell in a table that I placed the header in)

#nav_deco{
background:transparent url("images/divider.gif") no-repeat top center;
height:42pt;}

I would be very grateful for advice!

My guess would be that even

My guess would be that even though you've set colspan=4, that Opera's trying to apply the bg-image to all four cells. Try putting an empty div in the cell and applying the image to that instead.

How to get help
Post a link. If you can't post a link, jsFiddle it.

I was using the Gimp and had to set the layer size to the image size after I enlarged the canvas.
