Hi All

I have a 'select' drop down list which I have to restrict to 85 pixels so it doesn't expand the column it's in.

However, in IE6 if one of the list options is longer it's not shown, simply cut off, whereas in all other browsers the actual list expands when clicked on revealing the longest of items.

How do I code around this for IE6? I've tried a separate width for the '' tag but this doesn't work.

Your help is much appreciated.

RH

You don't. That's what your stuck with for IE6. You either make the options wide enough to fit the longest item or you give it a fixed width and have it chopped off in IE.

How to get help
Post a link. If you can't post a link, jsFiddle it.

Many thanks for that - at least I can stop searching for a solution!
