First it's too brittle. It goes all wrong with a few upward text resizes.

I have to do text resizes because you've chosen a font that is fixed at 12px which is much too small for old folks with failing vision to read. Such as me, for instance.

It also bombs out for those with less than 800x600 monitors or portal sizes. And on high resolution screens most of the page is just pretty coloured space with a bit of teensy tiny unreadible text stuck in the middle.

And what's with this "content content content" stuff? could it be that you are designing your layout before you even know what your content is going to be? If so that's backwards. Content is the most important part of a web site and it is what will bring people back if they do come back. All layout can do is make your content harder to get at (especially the fancy layouts), or else stay out of your content's way.

You should code your pages with their content, marked up semantically with proper html before you start worrying about layout. I will put up with bad layout if the content is useful to me. If the content isn't useful I'll be gone no matter how pretty your site is visually. The web is not paper, and it's about content first, not layout. Why is your site throwing away most of the screen on pretty colours? (Canadian, eh?)

It's fairly pretty, but not very useful. You've put the cart before the horse. In my opinion...

Thanks for your

Thanks for your comments.

The content isn't there because its not going to be my website. Its for someone else to put the content in.

I will be asking some questions in begginer questions section of the forum on what you've suggested.

A few minor points

The site does not degrade very well, at least not in FF1.5.
The use of [p]&nbsp[/p] is not recommended in any site, not even a mock up.

Hope this helps
