Hello,

My site works fine in IE6 but i have a problem in IE7 with my UL NAV, everything below it is moved up to the top.

You can see it on my site www.toporangetravel.com when you go to wintersports from the homepage. I have corrected it on the homepage, by putting the UL NAV at the bottem. But this is not really how i want it.

My css style sheet:

/* Container Left Start*/
div#MainText-left {
width: 120px;
margin-top: 5px;
}
div#MainText-left ul {
height: 15px;
list-style: none;
width: 107px;
clear: left;
margin-top: 0px;
margin-right: 0px;
margin-bottom: 0px;
margin-left: 0px;
padding-top: 5px;
padding-right: 0px;
padding-bottom: 0px;
padding-left: 0px;

}
div#MainText-left ul li {
list-style: none;
display: block;
width: 107px;
float: left;
text-align: left;
line-height: 15px;
font-size: 11px;
font-weight: normal;

}
div#MainText-left ul li a{
width: 107px;
height: 15px;
display: block;
color: #FC7316;
text-decoration: none;
font-family: "Trebuchet MS";
font-size: 11px;
padding-left: 10px;
background-color: #EFEFEF;
margin: 1px;
border-left-width: 3px;
border-left-style: solid;
border-left-color: #949494;
}
div#MainText-left ul li a:hover {
color: #FFFFFF;
background-color: #FC7316;
font-weight: bold;
border-left-width: 2px;
border-left-style: solid;
border-left-color: #005787;
}

My wintersport webpage:

  • FAQ

  • City Breaks
  • Exclusive
  • Family parks
  • Golfing Holidays
  • Group Holidays
  • Hillside chalets
  • In the country side
  • Mansions/Castles
  • On a boat
  • Nearby water
  • On a island
  • Romantic Cottage
  • Week-end
  • Wintersport

What happens is that the google adverts are moving up over my left menu, instead of below.

My css knowledge is not amazing, maybe it is something really simple, but i just can't see it.

Its hard to digest your

Its hard to digest your site, but here is what I got

1) Improper use of floats and clear.
2) For some reason I do not think this should be set:

div#MainText-left ul { height: 15px;

You are limiting your UL to 15px of height.

Hi,

I removed the height and it works now.
I am a real newby on css, i just created this site, i am more used to tables.
Could not have figured this out myself, still learning.
Thanks a lot!!
