Hi first post here; I've just finished writing my first web page using CSS. The HTML validates fine but the CSS validator has issues with one section. It keeps saying "Parse error - Unrecognized
I can't seem to see what the problem is? It always seems to get hung up on the line after style type = "text/css" (even if I switch the lines of CSS around) I'm working from a book that claims to be HTML 4.01 strict. Any suggestions...?
Presumably, as you've
Presumably, as you've validated the page, it exists online somewhere, so how about giving us the link?
OK, besides the fact that I get warnings about the back ground colors not being specified (this works in IE 7 but screws up the page in firefox even if I use "inherit" for the color).
My main point of confusion is this message about the parse error. Here is the link to the page:
Parse error - Unrecognized "
What , may I ask , does it not like about my parse tree? I also get the same message on my page about photography.
I have warnings turned off
I have warnings turned off in my validator string. Your page validates just fine with no errors. I gave up on the warnings as mostly they are a waste of time.
Great to Know, Thanks for the input. Perhaps it's just something screwy with my browser?
I agree the warnings seem to cause more trouble than they are worth. I'm very new to this. thanks again.-Drums
