OK, so I re-styled my clients navigation bar exactly the way "he envisioned it" and then he decided that he would like to implement some kind of drop-down menu solution as well. Having no real experience dealing with drop-down menus extensively, I thought sure, ok, I'll give it a shot, how hard could it be? Little did I know, how difficult this little feature can be to implement.

This is the last bit of markup I have to add before I can actually start programming, the real fun part. Like most things in life, I managed to fudge my way through getting this thing implemented, and it works well in Firefox and Opera, but I.E. (7.Innocent is giving me a headache.

In I.E. (7.Innocent the drop down does work but it's more like a drop sideways and backward. LOL

Can someone help me troubleshoot this menu, and see where the problem lies? The only dropdown is on "Schedule", this will eventually be a dynamic menu so submenus will be generated from a database.

Here is a link to the site in question: http://v2.************.com

Here is the relevant html:

Here is the css for the top navbar:

And here is the code for the dropdown menu part (suckerfish):

Any help would be great, I'm just ready to get programming. Thanks.

These are the relevant bits I changed:

#nav li ul {
position:absolute;
width:170px;
top: 16px; /*added this */
left:-999em;
background-color:#1f1f1f;
margin:0;
}

#nav li:hover ul, #nav li.sfhover ul {
left: 0; /*changed this */
}

How to get help
Post a link. If you can't post a link, jsFiddle it.

Thanks!

Terrific! Thanks Tyssen. Your wealth of knowledge in css never ceases to amaze me. It's working. A little more styling and it will be perfect.

Thanks for the help.
