Hello Forum,

I'm experiencing a problem in my css layout in IE6 PC. The header has got a height of 60px followed by a navigation bar with a height of 18px. CSS and HTML are valid and display ok on all browsers on the Mac. Only IE6 PC pushes the nav bar down and displays a line between header and nav bar. That happens only when an image is used in the header.
Here is a link for an online example:

CSS:
http://www.australottis.gmxhome.de/includes/activecarewa_layout.css
http://www.australottis.gmxhome.de/includes/activecarewa_format.css

Thanks for your help

1.1

IE doesn't like Xhtml 1.1, just another one of it's follies.

Drop down to a 1.0 strict DTD and see what happens.

1.0 Strict

Unfortunately I'm getting the same result with 1.0 Strict.
Any other ideas??

Cheers

Make the img display:block;

Make the img display:block; or vertical-align:bottom;

Display:Block

Thank you so much, Hugo.

That solved the problem.

Seems this forum is more lively then the W3C forum.

Thanks again
