Hi people

Can anyone explain why is it that I can't seem to apply an effect on hover to this element?

XHTML:

News of the day

CSS declarations:
dt.category a {
color: #3C3D17;
text-decoration: none;
}

dt.category span a,
dl dd dl dt a {
color: #6FB500;
text-decoration: none;
}

dt.category span a:hover {
color: #3C3D17;
}

dt.category a:hover {
color: #6FB500;
}

Thanks.

Look at your descendant

Look at your descendant selectors again the anchors are not nested within spans.
