I'm perplexed why this should be the case. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I'm using one image as a rollover and everything's ok in Firefox - but in IE you see the whole image (sort of spoiling the rollover - can anyone please help?

You should probably be giving your anchors a height (of 27px) rather than using padding-top.

I fixed it with a hack for IE

I fixed it for a hack with IE....

*html #applyonline a {padding-top: 8px;}
