Gallery CSS Mod - Header image problem

I'm working on a CSS Mod to change the look of my Gallery. Check it out here.

I want to put the same image that's at the top of my homepage onto my Gallery - I want the same look as the homepage. Currently, I have the background set as a repeating white block (it solved a column/footer layout problem on my homepage).

Any ideas on how I could put the palm tree image in front of the white bkgd without altering the gallery index code?
