The site: http://www.caraccidentlegalcenter.com/index2.html
The goal (but in css): http://www.caraccidentlegalcenter.com/index.html

I'm a simple man with simple goals. I'd like the top navigation to vertically align with the image above it. Now I've tried putting a background on the container but that just draws attention to the fact that the bar does not fully fill the space, leaving behind a white border and a small space on the right after the nav stops.

I've also attempted to adjust the padding on <a> but I can't seem to get it close enough without breaking to two rows.

Right now mozilla does something in between. Like Vinnie Barbarino, "I'm soo confused." Any thoughts?

site check - aisle 7

a) Site is in quirks mode as doctype is not working

b) It is a bit hard as code is compressed! and looks like tables have their own values, but you also have some divs and are using css, and its all mixed up. Masybe just looks that way due to compression.

Try reducing ALL the widths of the images by 10px to see if it pulls your table back in. If the answer is yes then something is pushing the table out, although it may not be the images.

It could also be that you menu has been shortened.

c) Moz FF has other problems.

The only way to learn is to do it yourself

Try changing the css to this (and why on earth is it a text file?):

#navcontainer ul
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
line-height: 22px;
/*width: 743px;*/
font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;

#navcontainer ul li { display: block; float: left;margin:0;padding:0}

#navcontainer ul li a
color: White;
font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
font-weight: bold;
text-transform: uppercase;
text-decoration: none;
border-right: 1px solid #fff;
padding:5px 12px 4px 12px;
background-color: #039;
