Oops, meant to mention, Tony, you might put a line feed and a -- and another linefeed prior to the sig line. If you can pre-position the cursor, that would be a good thing for usability.

Okay, so let me see now: new member csscr is actually Tony in disguise (?), the first line of a post becomes its title, and the sig is repeated in the text block AS WELL AS being added to the foot of each post.

I think I'll stay in this thread at the moment, as I might not make it back if I step outside!

The problem with Drupal is that it's not a dedicated forum software, such as phpbb, it's a Content Management System. Instead of structured forum posts with replies, you get nodes, which are sort of all "news topics" that other members can only "comment" on, rather than "reply" to.

However, I do like the options when you click on forum - view active topics is good, as it lists all the new topics and topics that contain new/updated posts. I'm sure the old forum did that as well, I just never needed/used it
