Only in America - I hope!

No not the world!

Hmm, ban all kids from the internet , they cause nothing but trouble and are just too irresponsible to be let loose in this cyber world.

Ban all sites that hide under this guise of 'social networking' socializing is something done face to face anything else is not reality and highly suspect, and at the end of the day just designed to magic money from nothing. what world are we creating where people live through their computers.

Lastly The US has to get over this highly destructive practise that thinks one can litigate at the drop of a hat, it's inveigled it's way onto this side of the pond and is very worrying.

Ban, ban. ban that's my opinion

As one that lives in the US, all I can say is "AMEN!".

It's a product of the communist views of the ACLU and other hate groups.

umm....

All that can really be said is

Oh My!

I don't understand what the difference is between 13 and 15. It made it sound like he thought she was 15. Ummmm that is still illegal.

Am I getting that wrong?

It's a girls world after all

Seeing as the girl in question is basically getting away scot free.

Think about it. It was her that signed on. Her decision to chat with him. Her decision to give him her number and her decision to meet up with him alone.

She was setting herself up and the lawsuit should be against her. Then again, Scot would lose anyway because all of America would pin the blame on him for being a pervert and no one likes the thought of a 13 year old girl in the backseat of a car.

Old thread As is often the

Old thread Smile

As is often the case there are two guilty parties but also as is often the norm one gets off scott free without so much as a ticking off in fact gets mollycoddled as though they are some poor hurt innocent, I'm sorry but there is seldom much innocent about these young people they know full well what they are doing.

Similar situation seems to be on the rise in Britain of false allegations against men by woman accusing them of rape. The woman retains full anonymity the man is hauled through the courts in the full glare of publicity Generally the mans life is in absolute tatters even after the case is found to be false, their life completely ruined, the woman on the other hand walks away with little more than a ticking off and retains her anonymity, yes of course there are genuine cases and yes the woman must have, and has a right to, protection from publicity but when they are proven to be serial liars and still get to walk away having ruined anothers life ?

Consent?

I read about a law being passed in some states within the US who are implicating a time period of consent. Example: 5 minutes after you said yes, if you say no, it's not valid rape.

It's a minefield area ,

It's a minefield area , these sorts of laws still come down to one parties word against another, it's been said that the only way to cover this is for both parties to sign mutual consent forms Smile likely taking the edge of the passion somewhat!

Minefields and storms

Not to mention the media storm it will stir up. Every single party/organization will pop up with their own opinions abotu the matter and it might jsut end up thrown out the window because no one wnats to deal with it.
