www.svgeneral.com

This site views fairly consistently on IE6 and Moz Firefox, however on a Mac with the Safari browser, I'm seeing the following problems.

(1) The banner image does not line up correctly with the div container.. it's pushed down by a pixel or so.

(2) The inline style on the left-hand column seems to be ignored, and all the columns are tight up against each other! Not nice! Sad

Does anyone have any suggestions for curing one or the other of these problems?

PS. I do realise the stylesheet can be optimised considerably! Wink

Discrepancies on Safari

I'm not on my Mac at present (my better half has seized it for communication purposes :? )... I'll check back asap.

However, I did notice that one of your inline styles is:
<td style="{padding:8px;}">

Take the curly-braces out of the declaration so it reads:
<td style="padding:8px;">

... You don't need them. Not sure if Safari will dislike them or not, but take them out anyway.

The next sentence is true. The previous sentence is false. Discuss...

Discrepancies on Safari

Cheers co2, I'll give that a shot... I do have a Mac myself, but it's one of the old G3 PowerPCs, and I'm not sure whether it'll handle OS X or not.

Hope your better half is taking good care of yours... respect for a Mac is a crucial factor in any relationship! Wink

Discrepancies on Safari

Hi Paul

Got my Mac back Wink

The site seems fine in Safari. Have you made amendments already?

All I did was remove the 'curly' brackets as you suggested, and that seems to have done the trick! Smile

So many thanks co2, although I'm sure I'll be back soon with further questions!
