Having received comments stating I should possibly drop my current menu
http://www.tcsnd.org/fred/tcs/default1.asp in favor of the "suckerfish menu" I've had a go at it here http://www.tcsnd.org/fred/tcs/sucker.html
There are some subtle differences in the way browsers display the menu and I am at my wit's end to correct them (IE6 and Firefox) I'm pretty sure the IE problems are due to padding or margins or maybe the 3pix bug?
I've read all the posts here on lightweight menus, drop down menus the csscreator menu, the discussion at alistapart on the suckerfish menu etc. and still can't come up with a solution
Items that don't display the same...
IE - the drop down shows border... Firefox doesn't
IE - flickering of the menu if wider than one line
FF - top level items flicker on rollover unless enclosed in a meaningless div
I would also appreciate ne1 being able to view in browsers other and IE6 and FF and letting me know has "bad" it looks in them
thanks
Menu display problems - "suckerfish"
OK.. solved the flicker problem..
The flicker in IE is because it only seems to recognize the hover on the text, not on the whole div; needed to give it some width
I also put together another menu for your review, see it at

Which one do you like better?
Menu display problems - "suckerfish"
Hi
I like the last one best. Did you also look at the ADxMenu?

Anyway, a few tweeks maybe:
1. A divider line between the vertical menu items in the drop downs, 1px very faint.
2. If you must put imges in the menu, make them appear opaque (fade them).
