Hi guys Im creating a site

http://www.designbyjon.co.uk/design.jpg

thats the design.

Effectively its 3 rows in a narrow column - the top is fixed, the middle is fixed (say 200px and 100px) however the lower half is the remainder of the screen, and set to SCROLL AUTO - so that content will appear in this area and can scroll without having the browser scrollbar all the way over to the left.

If I use height 100% on this it takes the height of the browser window (eg 700px) and makes this area 700px, so combined with the other 2 divs, it pushes it all off screen...

Is there a way of saying... AND THE REST like in frames where you would say... 200,100,*

Ive heard about a CLEARFIX method but cant get my head around it - can anyone offer suggestions.

Thanks in advance...

3 Rows - 2 fixed 1 scaleable.

You want something like the 'fixed' layouts here: http://www.cssplay.co.uk/layouts/

How to get help
Post a link. If you can't post a link, jsFiddle it.

Yours, and two of mine, all dealing with fixed position in the last day!?!?!?

Must be something in the water.

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.
