http://anythinganymore.com/new

I'm in the middle of the design phase for a website that I plan to contain a number of projects (web, music, video, print) that I've made over the course of the last few years.

A number of parts of this page have yet to be styled, including the UL's on the leftmost column, and the footer.

Because this seems to bewilder most people, the large block of colored bars on the top right is a placeholder for project thumbnails.

I'd like to hear some feedback regarding the general layout of the page. My biggest source of self-consciousness at the time is a sense of "cramped-ness," being I designed the site for an 800x600 resolution.

Of course feel free to comment on any other aspect of the site. In designing it I aimed to shy away from something a bit more graphically conventional.

Thanks again!

A Redesign

I think it's OK for the front page of a site but don't think it would be so well suited to internal pages after you've clicked through because the content that you're actually on that page to read is too far down to the bottom right.

How to get help
Post a link. If you can't post a link, jsFiddle it.

Thanks for the quick feedback.

I do think you are right except in this case. I never intended for this to be a front page, its just a single page of a website thats still in the design phase.

However, I don't understand the notion of the "content" being too far down to the right---this is the same site I've posted on this forum twice before. The content is what will replace the large image, and these paragraphs are a description of those images.

I understand that I said to feel free to comment on any aspect of the site, but sometimes I feel as if the url is the only part of my posts that get read! I don't mean to sound ingrateful, Tyssen. I'd like to reiterate that I do truly appreciate your advice.

Thanks again.
