the W3C css validation have been passed and the site is displaying fine in I.E
the prob is with Opera. i dunno how to handle it... it's getting mixed up... especially the page : http://www.learniteasy.net/ielts.html

i would like the page to be displayed as it is displayed in I.E

i learn that u guys are experts in this web designing and stuffs...
this is my first time in total CSS. i.e without any tables and i loved what was created.... but dunno wat to do with this browsed incompatibility isses.

again the buttons are done using CSS. but as u can observe. the backgroud image of the button takes a little time to get loaded(the first time) when the mouse is hovered above it!. is there a way to get around this issue!
Please help.t poped in to say hello..

Hi Guys, please advice me how to get around this prob!

Your home page has 33 errors according to the W3C validator.

http://validator.w3.org/

and your other pages 27.

Get these sorted and you might be closer to standardising you layout's looks.

Regards
Geoff

Hi Guys, please advice me how to get around this prob!

You need to pay attention to your syntax in the markup, ALL tags and attributes in XHTML must be lower-case, it does prompt you to that fact in the help dialogue with each error.

Hi Guys, please advice me how to get around this prob!

You can't use IDs more than once.

Hi Guys, please advice me how to get around this prob!

Within css, as well as setting up style requirements for html tags, you can define your own class styles and id styles

Class styles can be used multiple times within a page.

ID styles have to be unique, within the page, to a given tag.

Where the same thing is styled, eg., font, ID style takes precedence over class style.

Hi Guys, please advice me how to get around this prob!

Manu

It looks like your site is made for very small screen sizes. The page does not degrade very well.

Other things to look at are:
- sharpening of images, particularly the fact that the top image resizes with the screen is something I am not particularly enamoured with
- in division hbuttons the selector align="center" does not work very well; the buttons are off-center
- there is no need to mention &copy; and CopyRight: from a legal standpoint just one of them is enough

Hope this helps

Hi Guys, please advice me how to get around this prob!

Hi,
Thanx for the tips. i changed the ID tag to class objects and now that error is over...
now for the layouting of the page i used some sandbags and <p> codes. i feel the validation errors which are shown now are based on them. and if i remove those snadbags and <p> codes i won't get the desired effect. would request your kind obeservatios into the same.

dear technossomy,
thanx for the coments. the images which i have used now is just for the review purpose. those will be changed accordingly in the final layout. but what u mentioned abt the image getting resized is true.. but i don't know how to tackle that problem....Smile could u shed some light into that?
