IE7 is 10 years behind the standards or wrong.
But it works in IE!

Laughing out loud I now know what name to give my IE hacks, I wonder if the IE team have seen this style sheet?

Just as I thought someone has just got their wrist slapped, probably shouldn't have directly linked to the stylesheet Smile

I'm kinda sorry I didn't make a copy of the page.

cheers,

gary

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.

Even Microsoft hates IE

I'm still seeing this:

/* fix for the IE 1px-off margin error */
* html .StupidIEMarginHack
{
margin-right: 1px;
}

* html .StupidIEWidthHack
{
width: 100%;
}

...is that not what was there before?

Life's a b*tch and then you die!

Yep err... no, anyhow here it is as of this morning on a different computer and a mo' ago after clearing cache on this one:

* html .HtmlRightMargin
{
	margin-right: 1px;
}

* html .HtmlWidth
{
	width: 100%;
}

plus the other dross that was in there yesterday.
It's nice to see the (semantic?) notion of "row" creeping back in to css. Clever work with tables just like a Womens Institute Bring and Buy Sale.

I see Chris has enshrined the css on his site, in perpetuity. I'll keep my copy as back up in case of fire, flood, pestilence north of the border. Wink

Aside: how come the html and css are hopefully invalid, yet the page renders OK in IE, Fx and Opera? Are we wasting our time?Tongue

Job hunting? Quite probably - even if it wasn't their own browser its hopelessly unprofessional for a corporate site.

It renders ok in FF, just. FF has no resemblence to how it looks in IE6.

If Microsoft ever develop a screen reader (have they already?) I guess they won't be getting many people to sign up for the beta programme Wink

That'll be MS Narrator, then. Another joke, but this time on me, I have been surprised at the number of people who get on with it rather well. :?
