Hi folks

I have two pages I would really appreciate someone looking at with a MAC and IE5 Laughing out loud

Each page is about 13k (no graphics/java). I need to check the placement of three blocks of text on the page.

http://207.44.137.103/macie5test5pxinners.htm
http://207.44.137.103/macie5test5pxouters.htm

In the left column should be the text 'This is the Left Sidebar'
In the center column should be the text 'This is the Center'
In the right column should be the text 'This is the Right Sidebar'

The 'T' of each block of text should abut the left edge of the column, or the edge of the border, and the second line of text ('Sidebar' or 'Center') should start 1px in.

If I have the css wrong (as I may well have :? ), I expect that the right column text will be placed wrong. The two tiny images attached to this message show what they should look like.

Unfortunately, should I have the code wrong, I need to know exactly how many pixels out whichever block of text is in both pages, so I can work out how much to alter the code (dynamically).

Thanks in advance if you can help Wink

Hi Trevor,
Do you have a link to the page, it will make it easier for someone with a Mac to have a look.

Doh

That's what you get for rushing yourself to get out of the house, you make really stupid mistakes. No URL's === no help.

Thanks for not flaming, tony Laughing out loud

And what is worse, is, even after such a nice message from Tony, I posted the wrong url's!

Correct ones now in first post.

Hi

A rather nice chap called Allan Smith checked them out for me and sent me a couple of screenshots, showing the outers was OK but the inners needed a fix. So I have re-posted both with a few fixes. They SHOULD now work in all browsers (not NN4). Says he waiting for the flames

Hi LethaL

no, the center text wasn't meant to center, coz it was to test if it was at the left of the column.

OH my, it works. THAT MEANS IT WORKS IN ALL MY TARGET BROWSERS.

I've done it.
