This is my first attempt at working with CSS and trying to integrate a forum package into it (and a link directory script as well).

PunBB made it a LOT easier to integrate than some of the others and it is really lightweight as far as code.

I made this site simple and to the point.

Of note, the resources area is still not populated with links, but it is integrated with the CSS of the site.

Thanks for everyone who looks and comments...

US Civil War Online Site Review

Hi,

Looks good in Win/FF and IE6. Layout is clean, simple to navigate. I like the simplicity of the header also.

Just one suggestion -
You probably should add some padding between titles and content such as 'vote for us' and 'news items'...it seems crowded.

Nice job on the site. Laughing out loud

Ooooh I love military history sites! Very smart looking too.

Only thing I can add - along the same lines as ragamuffin - I'd add a bit more padding around the items in the forum too and possibly up the font-size slightly - it looks a bit cramped currently.

BTW I think you should either dump those ugly W3C validity buttons down the bottom or replace them with something smarter looking: http://gtmcknight.com/buttons/validated.php

My strategy is so simple an idiot could have devised it!
