Overlaping problem

You can't have anything above your doctype cos it puts IE in quirks mode.

And you can't put a style tag in the body of the document as he has.

Fails validation because of this.

You still have your <style> element in the body where (a) it isn't allowed and makes your html invalid and (b) presumably means that the styles inside it won't apply to anything.

Ok guys I removed the style now. The problem is that I was using PHP files so I was including them on the index.php one, that's why I couldn't find it there. OK that was fixed but the problem remains, also can you try again safari?

Lose width: auto from #content and the inline width: auto on the <div> after your welcome paragraph and then the margin-left: 55px on the table after that. It's fine at wider resolultions, but causes your layout to break as the window gets smaller.

Assuming it's still the link in the first message, you have cleared up two major problems, but that has revealed quite a few more.

Your html code is not valid. The validator shows dozens of html errors, and you aren't likely to get your problem solved until you've cleared those up.

It's hard enough to debug css on valid html pages.

I suggest you read carefully the "how and when to ask for help" post in this board and take the appropriate actions. The criteria set out there are not just to make your life miserable, but to enable people to help you.

Well, you've cleared up a lot of the problems, but there are still 6 validation errors according to the validator at http://validator.w3.org/check

But the verdict is still:

Quote:
This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional!

They all seem to be related to your "meta" tag in the header. For one thing you've ended the tag with > instead of />

So if you can clean up your meta tag and get your html valid then you can start to work on your css, which also needs fixing since the validator at
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator

shows a whole bunch of errors and warnings there. too.

Get all these fixed up and you may find your problem goes away. At least you'll have taken away all our reasons for not figuring out your problem. Wink

Well, your html now validates but your css doesnt:

Quote:
* Line: 1 Context : form

Invalid number : margin-top Parse Error - -lem
* Line: 1 Context : form

Invalid number : margin-bottom Parse Error - -lem
* Line: 16 Context : .paragraph

Parse Error - //A faint grey line below the text }
* Line: 41

Parse error - Unrecognized : //--> <!-- .ch{cursor:pointer;cursor:hand}

So until you get that fixed we still have an excuse not to do anything. But you're getting closer!
