Hi All,
I wondered whether someone could advise upon a site I am working on for a friend? I am having a few problems with the drop down menu which I think works OK in Moz but not in IE. Although I could be wrong.

Drop down menus

Looks like it works here in IE6, although it does only highlight when you're over the text rather than just the box.

You know you're a geek when you try to shoo a fly away from the monitor with your cursor.

Drop down menus

Hi Andy Downie,
I think your problem is something to do with the visited pseudo class.
In IE when you return back to the home page half the menus disappear.
Try something likea.starter:visited{color:#FFFFFF;}
Hope that helps

Drop down menus

I'm also using IE6 and having problems. If I follow one of the links then use the back button then some of the mainmenu items has disappeared and also some of the submenu items.

Drop down menus

Hi Andy Downie,
I can't see it in your CSS.
Try changing the default visited link color to red just to see if the links show up.

Drop down menus

Hi Andy Downie,
Right thats a good start it's made all the top level visited links visible.
to target all the other links in the menu you should be able to use
.menu a:visited{color:#FFFFFF;} you can also change the red back to white.
One last thing you will want the visited pseudo class before hover, if you want the text to change when the mouse is over it.

Hope that helps

Drop down menus

Isn't the menu system generated by javascript, not CSS?
I don't think there is any way that IE will work as a drop down menu system using just CSS.

It's not what you do it's the way that you do it.
So do it with STYLE
