http://chadian22.no-ip.com is my website home, and im just starting to use CSS for the first time. Ive used my tables, and ive had to nest tables within tables to get dotted effects and now im having troubles because one of my <TR> elements is going below and not beside the Hey part. Im wondering if i got mixed up with all my tables being nested within each other, i am using PHP with makes CSS somewhat easier to work with, but with having to keep nesting and nesting its becoming such a hassel.. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Chadian

Arranging Tables Correctly?

Yep, my suggestion is, for such a simple page, you will not need tables at all. You could quite easily achieve this design by setting the correct margins on the elements such as if you used <h1> or <p> tags for the text.

Have you tried your hand at a table-less web design yet? This page would be a good start since it's so minimal.

By the way, that image file size is way too big! Wink

heh

Yah, im on a big resolution, it didnt look that big to me Tongue . Ill have to put it down. But thats not the problem, my PHP code is very easy to alter. IM so confused. I read about CSS no tables vs tables, but when i like minimized , the tables overlapped and it looked really ugly. I just want to get my template done so i can input the PHP, thats where it gets good. My design skills are so bad =( ,and CSS is crazy. I sort of get the tabless idea. but not sure how to implement it in my senerio.

I meant the file-size as in kb not dimensions Wink

If your conversant with PHP, then you certainly won't find CSS a hassle.

Arranging Tables Correctly?

LoL. But PHP had so many good tutorials to get me started. Well CSS had some pretty good ones, i can do all the basic stuff with CSS, like the link color, border styles, width, but when it comes the positioning im drawing total blanks. Im still thinking too much in a table mindset and im having a hard time knowing when to interchange between fixed, or absolute or the other one, its just so confusing. And to add to the fustration, i need to send my iPod in to get fixed. Only had it for 5 monthes Sad
