le CSS fait le rire
is your amusment over the fact that it's high end development for budgets??
Unless you are amused over something else, I think you've misread it...
everyone has to have a budget. be it £100 or £10,000.

See I thought you were suggesting that $2500 was a huge amount of money for a site which seemed odd!
le CSS fait le rire
you think $2500 is a lot for a site? or odd that he thinks it's a lot for a site?
this is begining to remind me of the doctype post going around atm!
oh, communicating thru the internet. We may be hidden by our computer screens but so often is our meaning!

I don't think that's a lot no - I find it odd that someone might (or might not) think that is a large amount for a site.
This internet thing is confusing me, I think i'll go back to bed...

the link goes to the validator --
edit: i guess it was a bit cryptic. figured it would have been obvious though, considering the context... oh, and the title of the post

context? what context?
I thought we were talking about the content of the ad, not the link and where it went...

try... try... just a little bit harder. you can do it!

Why link to the HTML validator if the title of the post referred to CSS? :?
A link to the taoti site your actual high-end designers, would have been much more fun

Yeah - cryptic is unusual for you but a joke that needs explaining ceases to be a joke

This thread has really been perplexing me until today I realised my AdBlock has turned off whatever's in your first post, Jeff. Thing is, I can't figure out how to unblock it. :?

Ah now I get it - must have been asleep (again), did not even notice that the pic was in fact a link to anything.

Jeff, there's no need to be condescending. similarly I didn't realise there was a link......

Tyssen, the image is here:

this post, to begin with, and surely without intent of condescension, is really bad taste on my part-- i'm sure this person/ service is a fine choice for someone who needs their help. of course, i meant no slander-- merely thought someone else would enjoy it as did i. how wrong i was proved to be!
this was like standing at the improv, hitting the audience w/ what i thought was a whopper, and then after a reasonable pause, instead of laughter, there were only the sound of crickets chirping.
oh-- and the URL was omitted to point the fun not at the entity, but what i perceived as irony in the advertisement. certainly not worth getting riled, after all-- it is humor.
EDIT: did you ever see that episode of Seinfeld where Costanza is caught ogling at the NBC exec's daughter's ... ahem... chest?
nevermind!...
