Okay, so I'm trying to set myself up a new website and I've run into a couple CSS-related problems. Please look:

Here

1. I'd like to get the image and what'll become the navigation text either above the current box somehow, or in a new box above the one it's currently in. Anyone have any idea how?

2. I've set up a way to publish on Blogger through my FTP, located here. I'd like to have it so that those posts appear in the main box on the page above. Any idea what code I have to use to get that to work properly?

Thanks. Any help for either problem that you could provide would be most appreciated!

-Jakob

Your page does not validate as legal xhtml. There are nearly a dozen errors. Until you get your html right you probably won't get much help because trying to fix css when the html source is wrong is mainly just an exercise in frustration.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?> In other words get rid of the xml prolog. It will throw IE into quirks mode.

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
What's the point of a transitional doctype on a new page?

<pre><center> Explain! Center tags? Come now.

You can't have table rows or table data cells without a table. Besides why are you using tables for layout???

You should ask Blogger about that one. Smile

And had you read the Help Section (the bit that says "Click Here Before Posting") you would have noticed this.

I guess you didn't read that, did you? Laughing out loud
