I have converted my website which uses frames / HTML4
www.telfordsteamrailway.co.uk/

to CSS and XHTML1.0
(layout CSS code below)

www.telfordsteamrailway.co.uk/newcss/contacts.shtml
how can I gt the 'not a table' structure in the middle of the MAIN div

www.telfordsteamrailway.co.uk/newcss/events.shtml
down the page is a 'Thomas' layout which works in IE6 but screws up everywhere else - (much frustration, head scratching etc)

Help / Suggestions please

Layout CSS code (other included file is mainly fonts, etc)

#tsrheader {
position: absolute;
top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 75px;
border-bottom: 0;
vertical-align: top;
}
#tsrnav {
position: absolute;
top: 76px; left: 0; width: 150px; bottom: 0;
overflow: auto;
text-align: left;
margin: 0.5em;
}
#tsrmain {
position: absolute;
top: 76px; left: 160px; bottom: 0; right: 0;
overflow: auto;
margin-left: 0.5em;
margin-right: 0%;
}

Not fixed yet

Nope
Contacts does not centre properly in IE6 - top section is OK it is the 'not a table' layout at the bottom that is not centred.

Events works ONLY in IE6 - and when the window is made narrower chos ensues in IE and Netscape and Safari

Interesting note
When I view contacts in IE6 and narrow the page the top section remains centred as the window narrow up to a point when suddenly it left aligns - keep narrowing and centering comes back

This evening (when I get home from work) 18:00hrs gmt Saturday approx
I will create a simple page at
telfordsteamrailway.co.uk/newcss/problems/list.html
where I will post some screen grabs and also links to enable CSS files to be downloaded

Appologies

Sorry - I put wrong link in
Instead of events page it SHoule be Thomas page
http://www.telfordsteamrailway.co.uk/newcss/thomas_at_xmas.shtml

Events page simply needs image and copyright message better positioned
which is simply the middle row from the thomas page
so fix thomas and ergo fix events
