I am trying to use the ridge border, but it doesn't show. Here is my code:

<head>
<style type="text/css">
<!--
body {
background-color: #ffffff;
}

.r1 {
background-color: #c0c0c0;
border-style: ridge;
border-color: #808080;
}

-->
</style>
</head>

<body>
<h1 class-"r1">Ridge border</h1>
</body>

First of all you need to specify a width for the border and in your html it should be <h1 class="r1">Ridge border</h1> instead of the dash you have now. Let me know if this fixes things for you!

ridge border

thank you. i missed the fact that i had a dash there. simply changing that to an equal sign worked. Both IE 6.1 and Netscape 7.0 displayed it properly.
