We've had a few postings recently that relate more to DHTML than CSS as such, and although welcome, they seem out of place in the current categories.
Perhaps we could use a new category to collect these things?
Offtopic Discussions - DHTML and other technologies that relate to CSS; Problems that can't be solved using CSS alone.
Tony?
Offtopic Section
Well funny you should mention it
I'm looking at making some changes shortly one of which will be an off topic section.
Another change will be to move the CSS community section down and add a topic to that section to discuss knowledge base articles.
Notice the "s" on the end of article, I'm still hoping to write a couple of articles myself and would like to see others do the same.
The evolution continues.
Offtopic Section
Sounds like a good idea to me.
Would we look as having this as a new forum, or a whole new category? If we were going to make it a new category, how would we split this up?
Offtopic Section
I was thinking of a new category with topics like DHTML, X-HTML, PHP, JavaScript, The weather.
We could of course set it up as a fairly general area and break it up as we see fit later.
Any ideas for topics, I'd like to see it stay around web development so maybe the weather should be dropped.
Offtopic Section
I quite like the topics you've suggested (but you could probably leave out the weather for now - maybe just have a live feed from Yahoo or something? )
Would we want to have a graphics-related topic? Maybe just a general one that could cover things like Photoshop, Fireworks, etc. Or is that getting a little too off-topic?
Offtopic Section
Maybe it's time to register webcreator.com
Seriously, though, I suspect that a generic, unstructured bucket will do... there are really only a few posts that are non-CSS anyway...
Offtopic Section
Ok how about this,
We move the CSS Community section down below the CSS Discussion section
and add an OFF Topic forum to CSS Community.
If the OFF Topic section grows too much we register offtopic.com and set up another forum their.
Or if off topic grows we will just create a new section called OFF Topic and split it up as we see fit later.
Offtopic Section
That sounds like a good way to handle it. You can always expand it later if need be.
Offtopic Section
And he's done it. Thought something looked different... takes me a while to figure things out early in the morning!
Too late
Can't register offtopic.com

You mean it's already been taken? Should've gotten in earlier, Tony!
