CSS Menu on SAFC.COM

The menu is javascript. When clicked a new page is loaded, that new page is laid out to have the appropriate menu selection at the top.

Yes, the menu is embedded in each page, but I don't think that is what you mean, as no matter what the menu it needs to be embedded into each page.

They will be using some form of serverside page generation to create the page on the fly. That generator will organise the menu differently for each page depending on the requirements of that page.

You could, again I don't think thats what you mean.

The pages for this forum are made up of a handful of main php pages and a huge number of include files. So if you mean a different fixed include file for each page, its extremely unlikely they are doing that - its possible, but it would be a lot of work to create and a nightmare to maintain. If you mean an include file capable of dynamically generating a menu on the fly given certain parameters then I strongly suspect that is what they are doing.

When you visit a forum page in this site, the list of threads is effectively a dynamically generated menu. The difference is in the formatting and that you expect one to look the same and the other to change from visit to visit.
