hey

don't think you folks don't know ie has lots of bugs...
but here's one i find very frustrating, cuz i can't get a good solution

take a look at: http://users.pandora.be/pluickx/hir and http://users.pandora.be/pluickx/hir2

problem in ie is that, on the first link, the margins ain't getting right...
on the right side, there's 2px too much margin
but in firefox, it's like it should be

i tracked down the problem, seems to be the border of the #container (1px each side)
when i drop the border, it gets good in ie, but then, in firefox, the top-margin aint working anymore (plus, i want the border!)
here's the css-code:

/*algemeen*/

body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
background: url(../img/back.gif);
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
color: #ffffff;
font-size: 10px;
}

a:link {
color: #285769  ;
text-decoration: none;
}

a:visited {
color: #285769  ;
text-decoration: none;
}

a:hover {
color: #25363D ;
text-decoration: underline;

}

ul {
list-style:circle ;
}

/*layout*/

#container {
position: relative;
width: 742px;
left: 50%;
background: #ffffff;
margin: 20px 0 0 -370px;
border: 1px solid #cccccc;
padding: 0 0 0 0;
voice-family: "\"}\"";
voice-family:inherit;
width: 740px;
}

html>body #container {
width: 740px;
}

#boven {
position: relative;
background: #4B99AB;
margin: 10px 0 0 0;
padding: 0 0 0 0;
width: 740px;
height: 160px;
}

#onder {
position: relative;
margin: 4px 4px 0 4px;
}

#hoofding {
background: #4B99AB;
padding: 8px 0 4px 20px;
margin: 0 0 0 0;
}

#main {
margin: 4px 0 0 0;
}

#subMenu {
position: absolute;
line-height:20px;
width:200px;
padding:20px 0 20px 0;
margin: 0 0 0 532px;
background-color:#9fc7da;
}

#inhoud {
background: #73AABF;
margin: 0px 204px 50px 0;
padding: 6px 20px 10px 20px;
}

fast solution now is to make the right margin 2px less, so it's good in ie (but it ain't then in firefox)
but there must be a better way

plz help Crying
