Doesn't work too well at 800x600 and I find the text hard to read.

Ditto here. Not enough contrast.

In case you need a third opinion. I agree...more contrast. Gray text on a white background tends to make the eyes hurt. Making the gray text black would add contrast and still be consistent with the microphone. Smile

It is also the greenish-brown text on the white background. It is too light.

#000 text on a #fff background is the killer actually, starkness and overcontrast is what hurts eyes; slightly softened text to a dark grey is more restful on the eye and can still pass contrast and brightness tests.

You need to run your stuff through the validator. You're re-using ids and have a bunch of deprecated tags and attributes.

I didn't look at IE because geocities is throwing it into quirks. No point in looking.

I'm with the others on the lack of contrast between text and background.

The page breaks if the font size is upped even one notch. And, it's way too small for any but the sharpest eyes.

The over all design is quite nice.

cheers,

gary

If your web page is as clever as you can make it, it's probably too clever for you to debug or maintain.

I'm also with the others regarding contrast. But I think the color scheme is beautiful-- it just needs more strength for better reading-- except for the odd blue around the sponsor links.
