Hi, everyone !

I "waste" Smile the last couple of weeks building my personnal website/portfolio to help me get a job since I just finished school.
My website is in French only for now, i'll work on the english version when i'm done with this version.

I'm looking for general feedback, plus i'd like to get some infos from mac users... I dont have access to any mac here and I dont know one single person that has one...

Well thats about it, any feedback from non IE, Firefox Mac user would be great, but I'll take any general feedback Smile

Every pages should validate xhtml 1.0 + my css validates too.

Fixed my url... lame

Hi, francishogue.com looking for feedback

I wonder why you chose to use flash for your menu? :? Otherwise, it looks great to me.

This is my big chance . . . yep, I blew it . . .

Yeah...

I planned to work on the menu later, to make it "clean and sharp".

I mainly use flash to show that I know how to use it and that I'm able to mix it with plain xhtml.

But for now I agree, kinda useless. I'll be working on a new version to make it nicer.

Thanks.
Franck

Hi, francishogue.com looking for feedback

I think it looks pretty good and I like the overall style. Like n8gz4ez, I'm not a fan of the Flash menu either, especially as it doesn't really do much animation-wise. Text is a bit small and a little blurry.
The only other thing I'd have issue with is the picture of the guy on the bike (you, I take it). It doesn't really fit the rest of theme in my opinion and kinda detracts from what I assume is actually a business showcase site.

Hi, francishogue.com looking for feedback

I kind'a like the overall look as well but only for its neatness, otherwise, it sort of looks like a regular "blog" page (like the ones in Friendster) with a glorified masthead. But the again, you have good color selection-- very easy on the eyes. Laughing out loud

Aight, either I'm going to make a Flash menu worth it, or I'll make one with css like the footer one.

For the picture in the main banner (of me, your guess was right) , I thought it was a great idea to have one since its a personnal website, the previous version of the banner didnt have that pic, but I thought that it was a bit "impersonal" (if that makes any sense to you) and a bit too "straight" or "clean".

That's why I put one in there... Guess I'll have to think about it again.

Thanks for your comment, very appreciated, I'll take that into consideration.

(and sorry for my english being so-so)

I agree on that part "I kind'a like the overall look as well but only for its neatness, otherwise, it sort of looks like a regular "blog" page"

Smile I kinda like how neat those sites are and I thought I could start from there to base my website on.

Again, thanks for the comment, very appreciated.

I guess the decision needs to be made based on how much of a 'personal' or how much of a 'business' site you intend it to be. I got more of a business impression except for the pic, but maybe that was wrong.

Hum... I'm not in business yet (Wink) so I guess it should be more "personal" but then, maybe my design is a bit too "classic" or business looking.
