The page I am referring to is located here: rosariesoflight.com/demo.
The CSS page is here: rosariesoflight.com/demo/rosaries.css.

I am working on a site for an older gentleman who uses IE 6 as his browser.

Knowing that most of his audience is older viewers who do not have modern browsers, I am building the site with a BASIC table layout, and all other formatting in CSS.

I am currently having two problems:

1. The 1px gray border I added to the outside of <tr id="border"> is not showing up in any of the pages in IE 6. (However, this is not a problem in my Apple browsers; Safari, IF 5 for Mac and Firefox).

2. The graphic on the left side of the content (which is in a table cell) is aligning "middle" and not aligning to the top. I tried adding a "valign" but it doesn't work.

Have any solutions? I appreciate your help, thank you!

1px table border and aligning top.

There's a problem with your doctype:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Looks like you are missing one set of double quotes after the EN.

A quick validation would have told you this. Smile
