I have a background image being repeated however. the mozilla is adding pixels to the top of the margin. see image below.

Anyone have ideas how to get around those extra 5 px or why it is doing it?

body background Margin issue

Hi Blakems,
Could you post the related CSS, it may be something as simple as margin settings.

Well, I don't know if this will solve your problem, but I don't think you need to specify "top left" for your background as that's the default.

I don't seem to be able to replicate the problem under WinXP... could you post your HTML? Btw, what OS are you running?

I am running win XP as well. There really is no html other than

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
	"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head>
	<title>title</title>
        <link href="/c/main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
	<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
</head>

<body>

</body>
</html>

body background Margin issue

I actually found the error.
I just removed the html selector from the style and it worked.

now it is

body {
	background: #DBE2F2 url(/i/topBg.gif) repeat-x top left;
	margin: 0;
	padding: 0;
	font: normal 12px Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
	}
[/u]
