Hey there guys,

Well I am having very bad difficulties getting my site structure to display correctly under IE.

Everything seems to be fine when under Mozilla.

But if I look under IE I seem to have extra space under one div and my background images are not repeating along the Y axis.

You can see the page at:
http://www.bezaleel.net/csj

You can also see the CSS code at:
http://www.bezaleel.net/csj/css/screen2.css

I have made progress thus far. Please someone help me get past this hurdle!

I really appreciate everyone's assistance! You all make this forum a huge resource of precious knowledge!

Thanks,
Kevin L.

Background defunct under IE but fine in Moz......help?

It looks like your text is pushing the box out so very slightly in IE6

Not sure (you have 3-4 divs enclosing the final content div and could not see why, but it made it hard to dissect) but in some cases you have width auto, and have have defined the enclosing container as 780px. Give the boxes a definite width, and if they still push out use oveflow:hidden (if you can) to make IE behave

MADE CHANGES

Day,

I changed all of my scripting for this site.

I used the CSS Generator by Douglas Livingston.

You can check the links I previously posted above. Now the code does not allow the background images of my left and right column to repeat along the Y axis.

Also, no in IE it does not repeat the bg image, and there seems to be some empty spaces.....

Any insight????

NOTE: CSS Style sheet is located at:
http://www.bezaleel.net/csj/css/csj.css

Thanks,
Kevin L.

Background defunct under IE but fine in Moz......help?

Hi Scubes13,
Firstly the original layout was deigned by Douglas Livingston, the generator was bulit by me Smile

It was designed to only support background colors for the columns. That layout wont work with background images for the columns.

This layout by Big John uses background images http://www.positioniseverything.net/thr.col.stretch.html

Hope that helps

Tony,

Sorry about that. I did see that you created it. I just totally was not thinking when I posted that.

I appreciate the program. Great stuff.

I will check out the link you posted and attempt to mimic it.

Thank you.

Will keep ya posted!
