when rendering/debugging the css/xhtml on websites are there any differences between which Mac OS's with which browsers will do whwat??

for example:

could a website look any different with Mac OS X & ie 5 than it would with some os version pre Mac OS X & ie 5?

i've used http://centricle.com/ref/css/filters/ to help me get an idea of this but any one who knows anything who would like to offer something about this would be great!

thanks.

william
