what is the best way to set the height for a unordered display:inline navigation list?

Right now it only gives me a height of the text in the <li>. padding doesn't seem to work.

Line-height

Hi Blakems,
Try giving the UL a line-height.
A couple of things to note:
line-height:20; give you 20 times the font size, so heaps of space 100px above and below if font-size was 10px.
Percentage values are similar, they give you the percentage of the font-size.

line-height:20px; or line-height:1.8em; Would give the size specified.
