Hello All,
I didn`t find a place to introduce myself so if my eyes were to tired to see it I ask kindly Moderator to move it there...
My name is Piotrek, I am from Velnet Polska . I am quite new to Internet services though I have learnt a few new information from forums like this, I look forward to learning even more from this cool forum.
Thanks,
Piotrek
Greetings from Poland!
Welcome to the forum Piotrek. Are you sure you can't squeeze any more 'keyword' website links into your post? ...or am I just being too cynical
Greetings from Poland!
thanks, nice to be welcomed, do you treat all your new visitors this way... :?:
Greetings from Poland!
I explained myself to you in my PM, and deleted your link exchange advertisement for what should be obvious reasons. As I said to you: this is a learning resource so if you have any CSS problems then post away. But as far as your posts so far are concerned, I wasn't born yesterday  . I also note that you have now removed your skilfully 'SEO crafted' signature, so you obviously know exactly why I am taking issue with you.
But as I also said: welcome all the same

I have replied to your PM too, Sir Admin, one doesn't make mistakes if he does nothing.
My "skilfully 'SEO crafted' signature" WAS removed right after I got your PM because I do not know what else do you consider bad enough to delete...
Why should I explain more? Just so that you know. There are things you can say politely and putting dry 'welcome' in between doesn't make the whole post polite, but I guess you know that since "you weren't born yesterday"...
Regards,
Greetings from Poland!
And as I said in the PM -I do really want to learn, but next time before I post I will think twice...

Hi piotrek,
It sounds like you are already learning.
Welcome.

If only everyone did the same.
I need to think twice just to remember to think twice . . . :?

piotrek - despite your obvious indignation, you know and I know what you're doing and why. You've been doing the same thing on other popular forums recently and whilst I appreciate that everyone wants their business to do well, you need to understand that we don't like to see our time and/or the forum's resources being taken for granted or used in ways contrary to the spirit of the forum's purpose.
If you have CSS questions to ask and help to offer then stay around and become part of the regular crowd, but don't post link exchange advertisements; don't use your signature space to blatantly boost your PageRank; and don't tag meaningless posts to the end of old threads in order to spread your links about. You have been sussed - just accept it and decide if you want to stay or go.
PS: if you disagree with my tone or line, PM Tony as he rules the roost around here.

Sus/s comes from suspicious, so if you're suss of something, you're suspicious of it. The past tense of the verb usually means that your suspicions have been confirmed.

Thanks.

'sussed' means: found out, caught, discovered; as in "you've been sussed out mate".
Greetings from Poland!
# To infer or discover; figure out: âI think I'm good at sussing out what's going onâ (Ry Cooder).
and last time I looked he was an American.
One can also use it in the sense of "I'm pretty sussed" meaning: I am clued up, smart, street wise, no fool etc. all of the above of course which I am

Ack! How can you not have heard the term? Hugo's definition is very American. Have you not read any of Hugo Award winning Robt. A. Heinlein's books? He used the term a bunch.
T, you've let down the side.

just what I was thinking. It's taken Englishmen to explain your own native vernacular, maybe you need to move to the west coast Triumph. Sorry had to rub it in
Have to admit that despite granting Heinlein an award I have not read any of his works, is he the disc world guy ?
Greetings from Poland!
No, Discworld stuff is by the hat wearing whiltshire (I seem to remember) bloke Terry Pratchet.

- Watership Down
- Dune series
- See Jane Run (back in grade 1)
Well, maybe there was one other.

See this Robert A. Heinlein FAQ.
When it comes to SF, there's Wells, Hugo, and Heinlein.
cheers,

Now Wells and Wyndham I know, but honestly I have never written any sci-fi at all.
