One of the most powerful and underused feature of Drupal would have to be Taxonomy. Taxonomy allows the classification of content via vocabularies and terms. It can help us find related content. The questions often arise on the forum that have been answered before. In many cases the topic author has searched and either through bad search terms or a lack of understanding of the problem was unable to find solutions to similar issues.

Webaim screen reader survey

Back in February, I wrote about WebAIM's initial screen reader user survey. Those good people have anounced a follow-up user survey. All users are invited to participate without regard to skill level or reasons for use (e.g. testing, curiosity, casual, or total need).

Upgrade update

The server has been taking a hit, since the upgrade. This is an unfortunate side effect of major site upgrades. All the site content has changed so needs to be re-indexed by search engines as well as the Drupal processes of indexing content for internal search etc. Currently 30% of the content has been indexed the rest is processed in small lots every hour on the hour.

Site upgrade

In a little over 12 hours from now I will be making the long promised upgrade. It will be a lengthy process as there are a lot of changes. I'm expecting it to take at least 3 hrs possibly 4. Many of you may be wondering why it will take so long, so I will outline the basic process.

Google Chrome Frame

Google have released Chrome Frame for Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8. Chrome Frame provides the power of Google's speedy JavaScript engine and Safari's WebKit rendering engine for Internet Explorer.
So this is only a plugin not a new browser but for all those people stuck in offices that aren't allowed to upgrade their browser, which I believe is the majority of Internet Explorer users, maybe they can install a plugin.
