I'm working on a design and so far, I've only got a basic PS mockup of the front page.
If you had a second to take a look and give me your general impressions. Even a "cool", "cheesy", "awesome", "love it", "hate it" would do.
BTW: The non-front pages would lose the branding text and the giraffe's body, but keep it's head as part of the logo.

I like it
But I feel like the text in large type in the body has too much letter spacing and could do with being a heavier weight (maybe tightening up the tracking will help that though).

Not sure the text in the top bar is light enough? Looks like it should be the same colour as the giraffe's "stripes" for lack of a better word.
Unless it is, and it's just an optical illusion?

I like it, I think you're close to something really great. I agree 100% with Tyssen and PineappleHead. The main content type is too large, it's actually a bit hard to read. And the type inside the header is difficult to read as well, since the colour is so close to the background. Additionally, I think that some of the giraffe details are getting lost in that brown header background. Might you consider going for a different colour in the header background, to allow the giraffe to stand out more? Even if you don't want to go for a completely different colour, a beige or tan would show off the giraffe's head a lot better. That giraffe is way too nice of an illustration to be partially lost in the background. Great work though! Very nice style.
