Problem linking photo in a div tag

Hi,

I would be grateful for any help,
I am trying to create a link using a photo to my photo album i have created. The photo i am using is placed in a div tag already. When i put the tag infront of the photo it changes whole div tag, moves the photo to the index page and changes the whole index page.

Is there a way the photo can just be a link?

The link is www.muddypawswebdesign.co.uk. If you click on THE DOGS box and i want the small image on the next page as a link.
