Well...this site has:
- flash
- a landing page come menu
- one of those rotten scroll layouts
- loud music
Yet somehow I think it's the best I've seen of this type - what do others think?
WARNING: 30sec clips of the songs from their first CD - on/off at the bottom
P.S. The band's own site is nedtheband.com a very different kettle of fish.
I forgot to say that the
I forgot to say that the button for "The Band" takes you to a different website - their site hosted at their recording company I think.

The first is at least pleasing eye candy, but that's all. Hugo might say it has "POP". Otherwise, it's a piece of crap for all the usual reasons.
Version 2 is straight out of the nineties in graphics and coding. You'd think a bunch of doctors would have some degree of concern for accessibility, but no, none at all; not even usable alt text in an all image page.
This begs the question, do you have a vested interest in the sites? If not, what is your interest?
cheers,

Nah hasn't got 'POP' Finally

Finally worked out it's meaning and will be placing a dirty great mailto: link on all landing pages from now on.

No...I agree with Hugo - it doesn't 'pop' (whatever that is) and you're absolutely right, it looks good at first but we know it's baaaaad stuff. And it takes too long to load. And the first thing people will probably click is "The Band" which takes you to a totally different site! But it is purty

Truth to tell, they're probably too busy being doctors and now rock stars and probably know absolutely nothing about web design or have the time (and inclination) to find out.

Yes and no, I'm clear m'dear, thank you for your concern
. A client of mine has ov.ca and I'm giving a presentation to the local support group next week. I was doing some research and stumbled upon it.
However since I have the bear page and clip about children I was wondering about putting up another page with their YouTube clip - it is good promotion and it is upbeat, any awareness is good. Their book is about music as therapy and I'm doing some volunteer work at a local hospice where they do have a music therapist.

Ummm...huh? The meaning of what? Pop?
