I have just uploaded my new website and activated the WordPress template I have created. The problem is that even though I use the same CSS for both my html website and WordPress blog it doesn't look the same. If you look at the top on this page: http://www.pet-art.net and the top of the blog: http://www.pet-art.net/wordpress, the background div is too low. I just can't find the problem, can anyone please help!?

If you can log in

If you can log in successful,it means it's right.And the page of "your html website and WordPress blog" is not same at all.So it's ok.
I think you may be first use the site.

The only difference I can see

The only difference I can see is the left sidebar, especially the link menu. The regular page has this.

(def.css (line 640))
.menu_div ul {
    border-bottom: 1px dashed #C0C0BD;
    color: #497577;
    font-family: 'Arial',Helvetica,sans-serif;
    font-size: 13px;
    list-style-type: none;
    margin: 0 20px 15px;
    padding: 0 8px 8px;
    text-align: right;
}
And this from the blog.
(from style.css (line 636))
.menu_div ul {
    border-bottom: 1px dashed #C0C0BD;
    color: #5D5C5C;
    font-family: 'Arial',Helvetica,sans-serif;
    font-size: 13px;
    list-style-type: none;
    margin: 0 20px 15px;
    padding: 0 8px 8px;
    text-align: left;
}
Note the different color and text-align property values.

Beyond this, you must be more specific about the differences you see.

cheers,

gary

mainwrapper

There is now a slight difference in the in the CSS between my html site and the blog.

I think the problem is with my mainwrapper. In Safari the entire wrapper is too low on the page. It looks like the logo on top is pushing down it all.

Here is the code for my mainwrapper:

#wrappermain {
min-height : 100%;
height : 100%;
height : auto !important ;
width : 981px;
position : relative;
margin-top: 0px;
margin-left : auto;
margin-right : auto;
padding : 0 0 0;
overflow : hidden;
}

Try as I might, I am unable

Try as I might, I am unable to find a pixel's worth of difference between the regular page and the blog; even comparing between browsers fails to give me a difference.

Sorry, I just can't replicate your issue.

I looked in Google Chrome and in Firefox. You'll need to help us out. Make screenshots of the pages in the browser that shows the problem, and mark the difference[s].

Frankly, a problem that is this difficult to see may only be a problem to you, due to your intimate connection to the design. Remember, no web page can be expected to have pixel perfection. This is not a print medium.
