I'm afraid under normal circumstances editing posts is restricted, this is partly to do with the fact that too often a poster has decided to remove their original post entirely leaving a meaningless thread of comments.
At the moment I'm not sure whether there are any specific issues occurring due to the forum upgrade, it may be so?
After the initial period of starting a thread if editing is required a Moderator should be able to do this for you if you send them a PM.
Tony may be able to clarify whether there are any issues at present with this procedure.

It was just a case with the
It was just a case with the last two posts that the code tag moved to wrong place, and also a slow connection managed to post a comment three times.
