Once topics are thought to be completed, they will be locked.
This should help us know which topics are still waiting for an answer.

We will consider a topic completed when:

The original poster has said something like "thanks, that's just what I needed", or No one has responded to the topic in a reasonable length of time.

So help us get it right, if you start a topic and get a solution, here or elsewhere let us know Cool

I was hoping I could participate in some of those "locked" topics.

closed topics

If you have something to say on a topic that's closed or you are the topic initiator and don't believe the topic should be closed, just PM me with the topic name and I will reopen it. Smile

Locked topics

Not much topic locking happening these days! Perhaps it's unnecessary - entries are sorted by posting date, so it's not as if the older topics are in the way.

You're a mod, go lock some topics.

Wait, so am I...

You know you're a geek when you try to shoo a fly away from the monitor with your cursor.

I would, but Daniel likes to unlock my locked topics

Seriously, though, I prefer leaving everything available - saves creating new threads every time someone has some inspirational new thought about an old discussion.

You'd better believe it!

I agree, though. It's also easier to just leave the threads as they are rather than trying to keep track of which ones are finished, etc.

Locked topics

OK, OK, I think I get the hint.
Well leave them open.
I just like to make sure we help as many people as possible.
Closing the topics was a way for me to ensure topics had been answered.

If someone posts and doesn't get a good solution after a couple of days they can post again to the same topic to bring it back up for further discussion.
